Keep on Marching

“You discover that your longings are universal longings, that you’re not lonely and isolated from anyone. You belong.”- F. Scott Fitzgerald

March is hands down a bonkers month. Here are feelings we all feel during this month. You’re not alone.

This is when we are all dealing with applying to internships, post-graduation plans, and summer jobs on top of taking midterms. This is a period of my life where the only thing I can count on is my ample appetite of peanut butter.

Bikinis, Lent, and Sunshine

Spring Break, Coachella, and other events involved with lots of sunshine and minimal clothing is just around the corner. How is one supposed to look good, feel good when we give up sweets for Lent and still have to stress eat?

“March winds and April showers, bring forth May flowers.”

The Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival is coming up, April 11-12, and 18-19. It’s the biggest festival of its kind on the west coast. It’s still a ways away, but hopefully things are looking up for the weather and sunshine will be on its way soon!

The Race for ASUC positions

Our social media feeds are about to be clogged with all the Senate and President campaigns with their platforms. It’s okay, we should be enthusiastic that we have a voice in who leads our campus, but I understand the struggle of redundancy.

Valentine’s Day

It’s no longer looming over us. And we can move onto bigger and better holidays.

St. Patrick’s Day

The Bay Area knows how to celebrate its Irish, make sure you join in on the fun.

March Madness

Everyone is about to get super territorial about college basketball that we probably should have done a way better job at following.

Everything but

I want to be doing laundry, updating my linkedin account, looking up squash recipes. I have no motivation to study, but how does everyone else seem like they do? They don’t, we are all feeling that same struggle, friend.

Whatever you may be feeling, about to feel, or have felt, you’re not alone. Grab a friend, some top dog, treat yo self, and know you’re loved. Be in charge of this month, go discover something new. Like every other post on Yik-Yak says, if you didn’t feel inadequate, this wouldn’t be Berkeley.

love and scruff,
